Sleeping Beauty.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears. When the dance instructor introduced Erin's teacher as Madonna...we all cracked up. She was dress up as Goldilocks, blond & curly hair.

Erin dressed in Snow White is dancing with Happy, one of the seven dwarfs. His mom headed the committee and we planned it out!! JK

Dancing the Waltz...


We had so much fun preparing for Erin's fairytale ball at school. The second graders have been studying different genres of books. The focused on the fairytale theme and planned a fairytale ball. The instructor from BYU-I came to teach them the Waltz and the Teton Mountain Stomp. I went into help decorate a the backgrounds which included Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, the Three Bears, Hansel & Gretel. It turned out so nice. Hats off too the mom who headed the committee. We pulled it all together as parents were sitting in the auditorium waiting for their second graders to arrive at the ball. Erin dressed up as Snow White and here she is dancing the waltz with a mouse from Cinderella.

My little entrepreneur!

Erin has been doing well in school! She's close to reaching 100 points in her AR test (accelerated reading)at school and then she'll get her picture posted on the "Wall of Fame". We've been working really hard by going to school afterschool to work on it at the computer lab. When Erin gets 100% on all of her tests, we get her favorite treat, Mango A-go-go at Jamba Juice.

She also finished all of her assigned reading before spring started and will receive a "Book Worm" (I think that's a special bookmark). She's also a math master, meaning she tested and passed all of her math tests within 2 minutes. She is now working on the same tests, but trying to pass them within 1 minute. So, far she's done well and if she passes all of them in a minute, she'll be a math Einstein and then on to math Ph.D.

Erin is a great big sister. She loves to help change diapers, take baths for Eli, dress him, and feed him. She's a great help around the house too! She loves to wash dishes.

She's always thinking of ways to make money by doing chores, recycling plastic bottles and cans. A couple of weeks ago, she passed out blue raffle tickets to neighbors and friends in the ward and ask them to come to a bake sale she's setting up in front of the house. So, that day is today! What can I say, we have a little entrepreneur! She inherits that gene from her dad...
However, she is a very impulsive spender. She loves to get things from the quarter machine and buy toys for herself and her brother from the Dollar Tree store.

Tie dying t-shirts..

Sorry, family...we have been terrible at blogging lately. Here are some things we've been up to lately! Erin was really excited one day to make tie dye t-shirts with E-Ca. Look at all of those color dyes. We put hearts on Erin's and Erin also made one for Eli! I still need to wash them before they wear it =/! The turned out really nice! We bought a pack of 3 tshirts for like $4, and Monica already had dyes. They were really worth it! If we bought them at Berekely, they would have been $15 - $20 each. We have so much fun with E-Ca...she's very special to us!

One freezing, sunny day...

Eli and I went outside and thought it was warm enough to play...it was actually sunny, but freezing cold! Here, Eli tries to keep his hands warm and cheese at the same time.

Princess party!

Erin was invited to our neighbor's birthday party. It was so cute to see them dressed up and they acted just like little princess. Erin was the Little Mermaid. I was so surprised at how quiet they all were at the party! They got to decorate a princess crown that Hilarie made from her Cricut machine(which I desperately want); played pin the crown on the princess; and had cupcake and juice!
